Job summary

Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) Float to support our FCHC Provider Based Clinics. In this role, you will document patient encounters, escort patients to exam rooms, take and record vital signs, and prepare for and assist with exams, procedures, and wound/incision dressing changes.

You will also handle patient phone calls and communicate with other offices and facilities on behalf of the patient.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software is required.
• Prior experience in a provider office setting is preferred.
• Strong multitasking skills are essential.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters as directed by the provider.
• Escort/assist patients to rooms.
• Take and record patient vitals.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Assist with wound/incision dressing changes.
• Take patient phone calls and communicate with other healthcare facilities.
