Job summary

Rome Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical staff in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The role combines administrative and clinical duties to coordinate patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask. Prior clinical experience is preferred, and familiarity with an EHR system is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior hospital/clinic experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Prepare patients for appointments, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
• Organize and maintain patient records and medical documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and outside facilities.
• Collect laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and microbiology swabs.
• Perform EKG testing as directed.
• Prepare exam and treatment areas and maintain supplies.
• Support patient flow and daily operations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety and compliance standards.
