Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team across multiple Ohio clinics, with occasional travel to Erie, PA. The role involves greeting patients, rooming, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The position requires 3+ years of hands-on clinical experience, completion of a MA program, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks). Strong patient service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant training and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on clinical experience in direct patient care.
• Experience with vital signs, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs and injections.
• Proven patient-facing/customer service experience in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Capture vital signs and document medical histories in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Maintain high-quality patient service in a fast-paced clinic.
• Utilize Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks or similar EMR platforms.
• Support care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.
• Leverage bilingual skills to assist patient communications when applicable.

Position Summary:

As aMedical Assistant,you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:

• Location: This position works in our: Canfield, Canton, Fairlawn, Middleburg, OH clinics
• This position also works in Erie, PA on Mondays (will receive mileage when traveling to Erie).
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $22-$27hr based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
• 3+ years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
