Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient care and efficient clinic workflow across multiple Manhattan locations. The float role requires commuting to clinics, with weekend availability and 7am-7pm shifts.

The ideal candidate will be National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant, speak Spanish and English, and have 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience. Compensation ranges from $20 to $24 per hour and comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1–2 years hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience with vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections and specimen collection.
  • Completion of MA training program and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming experience.
  • Document vital signs and histories in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope.
  • Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service in a high-volume setting.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eCW.
  • Support patient care across clinics and healthcare settings.
  • Bilingual communication to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

  • Location: This is a float role, candidate must be able to commute to clinics based in Manhattan (Will review clinics during the interview)
  • Schedule: Full-time, hours vary between 7am-7pm; must be able to work weekends.
  • This position requires to be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Spanish and English speaking required.
  • Compensation: $20-$24/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
  • Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
