Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team across multiple clinic sites including Skokie, Northbrook, Gurnee, and Barrington. You will greet patients, document histories, and assist with procedures to ensure smooth clinic workflow.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent, with CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred. EMR proficiency (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role required.
• Experience performing vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope of training.
• Document patient interactions in EMR/EHR systems accurately.
• Deliver exceptional patient service in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) or similar systems.
• Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:

• Location: This position floats between our Skokie, Northbrook, Gurnee and Barrington clinic locations.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.

• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
