Job summary

Corewell Health in Watervliet is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinic staff. You will assist with examinations, prepare patients, manage supplies, and document care in the electronic health record while upholding privacy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on clinical skills.
• Or at least 1 year of direct patient care in MA/related role.
• MA certifications CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA within 120 days.
• BLS certification within 90 days (AHA or ARC).
• Preferred 1 year in a physician practice or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with examinations and procedures and prepare supplies.
• Maintain and document medications within scope of practice.
• Manage patient flow and ensure accurate documentation in EHR.
• Prepare patients for visits and coordinate care with team.
• Uphold privacy, confidentiality and data security standards.
• Support continuous improvement of patient experience and service.
