Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego seeks a Regular Full-time Medical Assistant (Float) to support multiple clinical sites. You will prepare patients, assist providers, perform phlebotomy/waive testing, and document in EHR while maintaining clinic flow and patient safety.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant diploma, high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS, and ability to travel within San Diego County as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma from an approved course required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS CPR or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations and assists providers.
• Attends in-services and completes make-up assignments.
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe clinic environment.
• Assists with managing clinic flow and follow-up appointments.
• Records patient information in EHR and communicates referrals.
