The ideal candidate holds a Medical Assistant certificate with a high school diploma, a current BLS card, and is comfortable working across sites. A CA driver license is required for mobility between locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program required.
• Current BLS certification required; maintained as a condition of employment.
• One year of medical assistant experience preferred; CA driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and performs clinical care services with patients.
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains intake information.
• Performs procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizers, EKGs.
• Discusses patient needs and provides education and resources to patients.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked, cleaned and ready for examinations and procedures.
• Coordinates provider workflows to ensure efficient patient care.
• Assists other providers and care teams as needed.
• Uses electronic health records to document treatment plans.
• Conveys information to patients by phone or email under provider direction.
• Completes ongoing training for position compliance.
