Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across assigned clinics, under supervision of Clinic Director and Chief Nursing Officer. The role emphasizes timely, quality care and adherence to policies.

The successful candidate will hold a Medical Assistant diploma, have at least 1 year in ambulatory care, CPR/BLS current, and may be bilingual English/Spanish. Competitive benefits and full-time schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an approved course.
• At least 1 year of experience in ambulatory care or similar setting.
• Current CPR (BLS) required; ACLS/ATLS/Advance Resuscitation training accepted.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends in-services or completes make-up assignments.
• Consistently adheres to Policies and Procedures for positive patient outcomes.
• Handles laboratory specimens appropriately.
• Ensures sites comply with regulatory requirements (TJC, DHS, CHDP, Medi-Cal).
• Performs waived testing and phlebotomy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
