Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Rockford, Illinois. The role follows a 100% FTE, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule at UW Health Home Health, 2550 Charles St., Rockford.

The position offers a range of benefits and opportunities for professional growth within UW Health’s northern Illinois system. Candidates must have an accredited Associate degree or Medical Assistant program, or at least 2 years of relevant experience, and must provide a HS diploma or equivalent.

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, you will work at UW Health Home Health 2550 Charles St. Rockford IL.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime
• On-call pay

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
