Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care under supervision in an outpatient clinic. The position is at a franchised location with varied duties and benefits by franchise. Compensation is listed as $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, documenting history, assisting during exams, and supporting lab and administrative tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• AMT registered preferred.
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing.
• Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance.
