American Family Care in Statesville, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care under the supervision of a licensed provider in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves direct work at a franchised location with varying duties and benefits by franchise.

Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour; the position supports on-site lab capabilities and in-house x-ray, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required; AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
• Proven ability to obtain patient vitals, medical history, and assist with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit; prepare patient for a physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Ensure all tests are performed accurately and timely; administer medications per procedure.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference or in-house processing.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation; assist with physician referrals as needed.
