Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred
• Or at least one year of direct patient care experience as MA
• Military medical specialist experience per state requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments
• Triage and handle emergent patients
• Prepare and assist in procedures and injury care
• Apply dressings and splints as ordered
• Dispense medications and DME per clinician
• Maintain supplies and clean/stock exam rooms
• Operate and calibrate medical devices
• Notify supervisor if issues arise
• Support patient flow and inform patients of wait times
• Handle front office duties and ensure proper documentation
• Follow HIPAA and safety guidelines
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
