Job summary

Concentra, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant - PRN to join our patient care team in Dalton, GA. In this role, you will support clinicians with routine testing, patient preparation, vital signs, vaccines, phlebotomy, and front/back office duties to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive experience.

The position requires clinical competency, HIPAA adherence, and strong customer service. Prior externship or 1 year of experience in medical assisting is preferred; DOT testing and occupational

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least 1 year direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology; occupational medicine knowledge preferred.
• HIPAA compliance and patient privacy must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams including vitals and ancillary testing (vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiograms, respirator fit).
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Triage and manage routine medical procedures and emergent cases as needed.
