Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; AND
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) MA training program AND a National Certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).
• ALL OTHER STATES: same requirements; certificate or equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient vitals under direct supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR; supports front office as needed.
• Notifies provider and clinic manager of safety concerns.
