The Medical Assistant should provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner; assist in delivering patient education; communicate patient information to and from physicians; and assume various job tasks as assigned. Responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed patient care under the supervision of a Physician.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required
• Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting (e.g., clinical lab, physician's office, Emergency Medical Technician, etc.)
• Medical Training: LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Physician Office
• Knowledge of equipment such as Glucometer, PT INR machine, wheelchair, and thermometers
• Knowledge of tests such as urinalysis and EKG
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers
• Proficiency demonstrated by passing all written and clinical tests
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of employment
