Overview

The Driver transports visitors and documents, ensuring respectful and quality customer service. The Medical Support Specialist (MSS) performs routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision, supporting various facility operations including registration and referral management. This role requires efficient, accurate patient care and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Transport office personnel, visitors, or documents via motor vehicle.
  • Use good judgment and safe driving skills, be courteous to customers.
  • Report issues or delays to the COD and/or ACOD.
  • Perform errands such as carrying mail, maintain vehicle, and record mileage.
  • Complete vehicle checklists and perform light maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and patients, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Support clinic operations including results reporting, drug screening, and patient rooming.
  • Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and perform ancillary testing.
  • Assist during examinations, perform routine procedures, and dispense medications as ordered.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms, calibrate and operate medical devices, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage patient flow, inform patients of wait times, and perform clerical duties including check-in/out and record keeping.
  • Follow HIPAA and safety guidelines, attend staff meetings, and maintain a clean environment.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Meet licensing requirements of the state of employment.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school or current Military Medical Specialist credentials, compliant with state regulations.
