We are currently hiring for a Part-Time Activities Assistant/Bus Driver position starting on 1/1/2025. The pay rate begins at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience. This role involves two days of work per week.

Job Summary: The Activities Assistant/Driver will be responsible for organizing, planning, and developing engaging activities for residents that promote physical health, appetite, and social interaction. The role includes transporting residents for outings and assisting with daily activities.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and following a monthly activity calendar
• Engaging with residents empathetically and respectfully
• Coordinating special events and assisting the community relations department
• Transporting residents to outings, shopping, and medical appointments
• Recruiting, screening, and training volunteers
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment
• Supporting staff with training and performance standards
• Participating in resident council meetings and following up on concerns
• Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' health and emotional states
• Responding promptly to residents' requests and ensuring safety
• Following emergency procedures and policies
• Serving as essential personnel during emergencies
• Assisting residents during meals and with daily living activities
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies
