Job summary

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Wyoming Care Center, offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants. You will join a fast-paced urgent care team, performing direct patient care and clinical support across a highly diverse patient population.

Prospective candidates should have a high school diploma, MA training or equivalent experience, and 1 year in a healthcare setting, with BLS preferred and MA certifications achievable within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience or hands-on clinical support.
• Completion of an MA training program or at least 1 year of direct MA-related care.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Timely attainment of MA certification within 120 days (CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/NAHP).

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals.
• Help deliver the best possible care to patients.
• Support urgent care operations in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• Required 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Required within 90 Days One of the following
