Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology teams in a fast-paced clinic. The role involves rooming patients, documenting vital signs, and assisting the dermatologist during visits to promote a friendly, efficient environment.

Essential duties include scribing, wound care, phlebotomy, sutures, and assisting with patient scheduling. The position requires CMA or equivalent medical support education and may involve travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Forefront Derm Tech certification is a plus.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, and other dermatology techniques.
