Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Dermatology team in Menasha, WI. In this full-time daytime role, you will support clinicians, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and document patient information in the electronic health record.

You may travel between sites as needed. Prior CMA/LPN experience is preferred, and BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire. You’ll contribute to a compassionate, high-quality patient care environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver patient care and assist with clinical procedures.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms; take vital signs and document accurately.
• Document patient care in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Organize patient records, coordinate scheduling, and maintain stocked and clean clinical areas.
• CMA, CMA-RN or LPN experience is desirable.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Collaborate with physicians and registered nurses to deliver essential patient care and assist with various clinical procedures and treatments.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms by conducting initial interviews, accurately measuring and documenting vital signs, and ensuring a streamlined, ready environment for the provider.
• Document patient care journeys, clinical data, and all necessary information in high-quality, accurate electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Manage practice operations by organizing patient records, coordinating basic clerical and scheduling tasks, and ensuring clinical areas are consistently well-stocked and clean.
• Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse experience desired.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
