• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Flex-Full-time Medical Assistant role in UPMC Urology.
• Daytime hours with no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Send/receive patient records per HIPAA and regulations.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports and schedule appointments; verify insurance.
• Prepare and manage charts; setup exam rooms; maintain infection control.
• Assist with patient flow, vitals, and specimen collection.
• Answer calls and provide patient education.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic labs; document in chart.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health; maintain confidentiality.
• Under physician supervision, administer injectable meds and vaccines.
