Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant for a day shift in Owasso, OK. The role supports patient care in a clinic setting, combining clinical tasks with essential administrative duties under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate will have an MA background or two years of MA experience, plus CMA or RMA certification. Strong EMR and MS Office skills are required, with BLS due within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and administrative/clinical tasks as part of a care team.
• Enter and manage patient information in the EMR, document visits and coding.
• Greet patients, escort to exam rooms, record vital signs and collect information.
• Sterilize and prepare exam rooms and instruments, maintain cleanliness and privacy.
• Assist with inventory, stocking supplies, and ordering as needed.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations, and relay information to pharmacies, labs, or hospitals.
