Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Claremore, OK is seeking a Day shift, full-time Family Medicine Medical Assistant (MA) to join the clinic team. You will perform administrative and delegated clinical tasks under physician or APR provider supervision, supporting patients in a care-team environment.

Responsibilities include entering and reporting medical history in EMR, taking vital signs, preparing rooms, maintaining inventory, and handling referrals/insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or two years MA experience.
• Current CMA or RMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report all medical history in EMR.
• Greet patients, escort to exam room and take vital signs.
• Sterilize instruments and keep exam rooms disinfected and ready.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies for exam rooms.
• Process referrals and insurance authorizations; coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and hospitals.
