Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Owasso, OK is seeking a day shift, PRN Medical Assistant to join a clinic support team. You will assist with patient care and front-office tasks under the physician-led care team.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, greeting patients, taking vital signs, sterilizing instruments, stocking exam rooms, and coordinating referrals and insurance authorizations. A HS diploma and BLS certification within 14 days are required; CMA or RMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited MA program; CMA or RMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report medical history in EMR.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room; take vital signs.
• Sterilize instruments and prep exam rooms; ensure privacy and hygiene.
• Stock supplies and manage exam room inventory; process orders.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations; relay information to pharmacies/labs.
