Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our clinical team.

The Medical Assistant will support patient care and perform administrative tasks within a clinic-based setting led by physicians.

Ideal candidates have EMR and MS Office knowledge, a high school diploma, BLS within 14 days of hire, and prefer CMA/RMA certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and report medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an EMR.
• Patient visit support that may include greeting patients, escorting to exam room, and taking vital signs.
• Sterilize and prepare medical instruments; keep exam rooms disinfected and ready for patients.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies for all exam rooms.
• Process referrals and insurance authorizations; coordinate with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
