Job summary

UPMC Lakeshore Family Practice in Erie, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team. This full-time role Monday through Friday 7:45am–4:45pm, with no holidays or evenings; one to two weekends per year may be required.

Prior MA experience preferred but not required. You will support exam prepping, vitals, phlebotomy, ECGs, lab processing, charting, scheduling, and patient education under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and organize patient flow and accompany patients to exam rooms.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs; assist physicians with procedures and document findings.
• Prepare exam/procedure rooms, maintain infection control, and manage inventory of supplies.
