One year of MA or related clinical experience is required, with certification required within 60 days for new grads and within one year for those without current MA certification. Includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Medical Assistant Certification-required. Acceptable certifications: RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA or ABR-OE.
• Recent grad must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.
• Candidates with one year MA experience but without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments, maintain supplies and sterilize equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls to the practice and screen for referrals.
