CGH Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff in patient care within our clinic setting. Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting care, and assisting with referrals and scheduling.

Qualified candidates will hold MA certifications (CMA/RMA/NCMA) and have basic computer skills, with BLS within 30 days of hire. Prior MA experience and phlebotomy/EKG skills are a plus, and the role requires full-time, day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current MA certification from CMA, RMA, or NCMA is required.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days and maintained throughout employment.
• Prior experience as a medical assistant preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic medical care under the direction of physician or nurse.
• Assist in preparing patients for the physician visit.
• Document care and communicate progress to the physician.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment directions.
• Schedule patient appointments and referrals; perform receptionist duties as needed.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
