Job summary

Allina Health Woodbury Clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift. You will support providers and nursing staff, room patients, and assist with specimens, injections and routine clinical tasks.

The ideal candidate has completed a Medical Assistant program, with preferred MA certifications and basic clinical experience. A starting bonus is available for eligible external talent.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience
• Completed Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education program with similar clinical training
• If MA experience < 6 months, must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent practicum

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and collects medical information
• Assists with injections, procedures and patient care delegated by provider or RN
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains inventory for exam and supply rooms
• Coordinates test results and communicates with providers
• May cover front desk and assist with patient registration/scheduling
