Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff across multiple clinic sites in Minnesota. The role includes patient rooming, flow management, injections, specimen processing, and assisting with procedures indoors.

Eligible for mileage reimbursement, 8-hour day shifts, and a $2,000 starting bonus for eligible external talent. 40 hours per week with no weekend rotation. Join a Not-for-Profit health system focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education/experience to meet required competencies.
• Non-Certified applicants with less than six months MA experience must have graduated from an accredited program with a clinical externship.
• Preferred: Previous Medical Assistant experience; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Licensing: BLS (AHA or Red Cross) or Allina in-house training within 30 days; CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow; collects/records patient data.
• Performs injections and assists with procedures as delegated by Provider/RN.
• Cares for patients and prepares test/procedure information and transportation as needed.
• Maintains safe, clean environment; reports risks and equipment issues; supports front desk when needed.
