Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, documenting health information, assisting with exams, administering medications, and educating patients to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA program with externship/internship, EMT, Paramedic, orCertified Athletic Trainer.
• MA credentialing is preferred; if credentialed, keep current MA CEU requirements.
• If non-credentialed, MA eligible with EMT license or Michigan Paramedic license may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
