Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff across multiple clinic sites in Minnesota. The role includes rooming patients, managing flow, taking vital signs, and documenting in the EMR, while assisting with injections and procedures as needed.

Eligible candidates may receive a $2,000 starting bonus and mileage reimbursement. The position is 1.0 FTE with an 8-hour day shift, 40 hours per week, and no weekend rotation; a CMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience meeting required principle competencies as listed on the job description.
• Non-Certified applicants with less than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow, collecting adequate information and documenting in EMR.
• Performs injections and assists with procedures as delegated by Provider or RN.
• Assists with patient transportation and front desk backup when needed.
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains exam and supply rooms; reports safety issues to supervisor.
