Job summary

Allina Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff across multiple clinics in Minnesota. The role includes rooming patients, managing patient flow, assisting with injections and procedures, collecting information, and coordinating tests with providers.

The position requires strong patient-care skills and basic EMR documentation. Eligible for a $2,000 starting bonus for external hires.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description.
• Non-Certified Applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow, collects information and documents in EMR.
• Performs patient care tasks and assists with procedures under supervision.
• Coordinates results and communications with providers and RN.
• Cleans, stocks and maintains exam and supply rooms; reports risks and equipment malfunctions.
• May cover front desk and assist with patient registration/scheduling.
