Job summary

Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We seek a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff across multiple site locations, room patients, and manage patient flow to deliver timely care.

The role involves injections, documentation in EMR, and coordination of tests, with a 1.0 FTE, 8-hour day shift and no weekend rotation. Eligible externals may receive a $2,000 starting bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education/experience to meet competencies.
• Non-Certified Applicants with less than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and collects accurate medical information.
• Performs patient care tasks as delegated by Provider or RN, including injections and assisting with procedures.
• Coordinates results of tests and procedures with provider or RN; prepares refill information for provider.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam and supply rooms; reports environmental risks and equipment malfunctions.
• May cover front desk and assist with patient registration/scheduling.
