Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers and deliver exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

You will administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed, communicate results to patients, and educate families for better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of MA program/externship/internship is preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic training is a plus.
• Credentialed MA is preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
