Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, valid AZ license/certification for Medical Assistant
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience
• Copy of PSV from the licensing board or verification agency if required
• Copies of current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, immunization records, TB test)

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, injections, wound care, and medication administration as permitted by state regulations
• Schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and perform other administrative duties as needed
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care instructions
• Ensure examination rooms, equipment, and supplies are clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow infection control practices, safety protocols, and facility policies

Medical Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted AZ license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,....).
