Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) – Full-Time for a correctional healthcare setting. Monday–Friday daytime shifts, with a team of physicians, nurses, and allied professionals.

You will assist with exams, vital signs, EMR documentation, patient care coordination, and routine procedures. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited MA program with a current MA certification and BLS, plus at least 1 year of clinical MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (as required by state).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing within your scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments as permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care services.
• Assist with intake screenings, health assessments, and chronic care clinics.
• Monitor and stock medical supplies and equipment.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist the healthcare team as needed.
• Follow all correctional facility safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
