Job summary

Harbor Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Harbor Community Health Center in Hyannis, MA. You will support providers by collecting patient data, recording vital signs, performing simple lab tests, and assisting with procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting medical histories, assisting with EMR and patient portal tasks, stocking rooms, and ensuring clean, ready exam spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED required; MA certification preferred or acceptable substitution.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese preferred.
• Basic computer skills with Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Knowledge of EMR (EPIC) highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visits and records vital signs.
• Obtains medical history and documents in EMR.
• Performs point-of-care CLIA waived lab testing.
• Assists with simple procedures and patient portal enrollment.
• Stocks exam rooms and maintains aseptic conditions.
• Disinfects rooms and handles sharps containers.
