Job summary

Harbor Health Services, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers by preparing patients, collecting data, and performing basic lab tests. The role includes assisting with simple procedures, documenting in EPIC, and ensuring exam rooms are ready and stocked.

You will help with patient portal enrollment, triage messages, and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment. Bilingual abilities and MA certification are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; MA cert preferred.
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or others) are highly desired.
• Knowledge of EMR systems, especially EPIC, is preferred.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office 365; data entry and record keeping.
• BLS/CPR certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and collects vital signs (height, weight, BP, pulse, etc.).
• Documents medical history and medication/a llergy information in EMR.
• Performs Point of Care Testing and basic lab tasks as directed.
• Assists providers during visits and with simple procedures as needed.
• Stocks exam rooms and maintains clean, safe clinical spaces.
• Disinfects equipment and rooms between patients; manages waste properly.
• Supports patient portal enrollment and responds to portal messages.
• Transports specimens and supports clerical tasks as assigned.

Medical Assistant Certification preferred

BLS/CPR certification

Substitution: 1 year nursing program
