Ascension is seeking an Occupational Medicine professional for the Ascension St. Vincent Evansville location. The role supports patient care with clinical and clerical duties, patient interviews, and vital signs collection in a full-time daytime schedule.

You will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, contributing to a team dedicated to high-quality care. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualificações

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire is required.
• Medical Assistant certification/licensure as applicable to state.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with provider-ordered treatments under supervision.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and prepare exam rooms.
• Perform basic clerical duties (phone, records, filing).
• Manage supplies and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Document encounters and transcribe orders (labs, imaging, meds).

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
  

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
