Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Elko team. This full-time daytime role involves patient assessments, basic procedures, and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations.

You will work under the supervision of a provider or nurse, taking vitals, administering injections, and assisting with treatments while maintaining accurate records and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Assists with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.

Qualifications And Requirements

A Medical Assistant (MA) who excels in this role:

• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Administers patient injections and takes patients' vitals.
• Obtains authorization for consultations, referrals, procedures, and ABNs per policies.
• Evaluates chart documentation for coding purposes, applies official guidelines, and determines and applies appropriate codes. Documents all charges on the fee ticket to ensure 100% capture of all charges.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $30.62
