Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) to support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. You will assist with patient intake, document vital signs, and help with exams and procedures to ensure efficient patient flow.

Requirements include a graduate MA program and MA-C license (or interim with certification within 90 days), BLS/CPR, and preferred ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days).
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days).
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• May require travel to other clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.

We are recruiting for the following position: Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C). The Medical Assistant–Certified (MA-C) supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. This role serves as a key member of the care team, assisting with patient intake, clinical quality measures, documentation, referrals, and procedures to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care.

Key Duties

• Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol
• Coordinate labs, referrals, and specialty care
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model
