Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in a podiatry/orthopedics clinic in Douglasville, GA. You’ll handle exam prep, vitals, charting in athenahealth, and basic patient care under supervision.

Ideal candidates have prior MA experience, familiarity with EMR systems, strong communication, and a team‑oriented mindset. This is a full‑time, weekday clinic role with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Podiatry or orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Experience with EMR (athenahealth) preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Geriatric patient care experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms; ensure they are ready and comfortable for their appointment with the physician.
• Complete exam intake: review medical history, social history, surgical history, and history of present illness.
• Complete vitals and required documentation in EMR (athenahealth).
• Provide patient care under the direction of a podiatric physician including taking x-rays and assisting in the exam room as required.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as restocking exam rooms and disposing of exam room trash.
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient visit and at day end.
