Community Health Center of New Britain seeks a Medical Assistant to support primary care teams. You will perform clinical duties, prepare patients, and document vital signs and tests to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.

This role requires completing a Medical Assistant program, state CPR certification, and knowledge of EKG, scheduling, and basic computer skills. A supportive team environment and opportunity to grow are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Completed Medical Assistant program from an accredited school is required.
• Medical Assistant board certification/registration or obtained within 90 days of hire is required.
• Ability to use EKG, schedule appointments, and perform basic data entry and testing.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and technical support for primary care providers daily.
• Use Planned Care Dashboard to ensure complete and thorough visits.
• Prepare patients for visits using established criteria.
• Accurately document complaints and vital signs.
• Perform CLIA waivered tests, EKG, and hearing/vision testing.
• Coordinate tests and referrals with providers for timely care.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and infection control in the clinic.
