Job summary

Summit Health Management in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clerical tasks, patient flow and routine procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with vital signs, document in the EHR, manage referrals and coordinate schedules, while upholding safety and patient-centered care.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, completion of an MA program, and good English communication; 0–1 year experience preferred, with travel to satellite

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience preferred.
• 2-4 years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Documents appropriately in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication list.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS/EHR.
• Supports transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
