Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient office workflow while supporting physicians before, during, and after procedures, ensuring an excellent service experience.

Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, recording vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and EMR documentation; must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and ready for a fast-paced environment with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Fluency in Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients on arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Record vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as trained.
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Support patient care in physician offices, clinics, or hospitals as needed.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) effectively.
• Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Saturday or Sunday-Friday availability (must be willing to work 1 weekend day per week)
• Locations: Paramus, Passaic, Orange, and Union City clinics
• Compensation: $21-$25/hr
• Paid training

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
• Fluency in Spanish & English required
