Job summary

Family HealthCare Network is seeking a Medical Assistant – Back Office to support efficient patient flow, perform vital sign collection, record updates, and assist with back and front office tasks. The role includes CLIA waived screenings, medication handling, and coordination of referrals.

The position requires MA certification, injection certification, and at least two years of MA experience (or externship) with FHCN; PACE experience preferred for elderly care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with minimum GPA(2.5) or higher education level
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience or completed externship with Family HealthCare Network
• PACE program experience: at least 1 year with frail/elderly population
• MA Certification required; injection certification required

Responsibilities

• Support patient flow in back office and assist in scheduling appointments
• Review patient health records and update medications and histories
• Obtain vital signs and data; follow-up on referrals and services
• Perform CLIA-waived screenings and injections; document results
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; manage specimens and disposal of biohazard waste
• Maintain communication within the patient care team; support front office when needed
