Job summary

MACT Health Board, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a clinical team on a full-time basis. The role provides care to patients through all visit stages, supports front and back office tasks, and ensures accurate, timely documentation and laboratory processing.

Responsibilities include preparing visits, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and maintaining exam room and equipment. A health background and flexibility with schedule are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/ALS certificate preferred.
• Experience in medical field preferred.
• Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
• Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
• Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients during all stages of their visits.
• Supports both front and back office procedures.
• Completes visit preparation activities for upcoming visits.
• Participate in morning and afternoon Team Huddles.
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is attached and available in patients’ medical record prior to appointments.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and complete Intake actions such as vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Assist provider with patient exam and procedures.
• Perform various lab tests, screening and phlebotomy testing as trained.
• Assist with maintenance and inventory of medical equipment and supplies.
• Clean and restock exam room and lab between patient visits.
• Monitor inboxes and assist with tasks and medication refills.
• Perform prior authorizations for medications, referrals, and diagnostic testing as needed.
• Maintain tracking and log records for immunizations, injectables, etc.
• Adhere to safety and control standards at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with staff.
