Essentia Health – Mid Dakota Bismarck 9th St Clinic is launching the Certified Medical Assistant On-the-Job Training Program beginning in July 2026. Participants train under a CMA or LPN preceptor, gaining hands-on experience to become certified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BCLS certified or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Team-oriented, dependable and eager to learn and grow in healthcare.
• Flexible to work day-shift rotation with availability for weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care in the ambulatory setting.
• Work with a preceptor at entry-level to support clinical and administrative duties.
• Perform identified procedures individually once competencies are demonstrated.
• Provide care to patients ranging from newborn to elderly within the age-related categories.
• Execute clinical assistant responsibilities in a supportive clinical environment.
